Just as each character in the book has their own strengths and quirks, each ingredient in our trail mix recipe brings something unique to the table. So, join us as we set off on a culinary adventure inspired by the spirit of Frankenwalnut, where variety is not just celebrated but embraced wholeheartedly. Get ready to taste the deliciousness that comes from bringing together different flavors, textures, and personalities. After all, in both literature and snacks, it’s the mix that makes the magic happen!
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups Nuts: walnuts, cashews, pecans, almonds, or your favorite combination!
- 1 cup Seeds: sunflower seeds, chia seeds, or pumpkin seeds.
- 1 cup Dried Fruit: raisins, craisins, dried apricots, dried mangoes, or any mix that you like.
- ½ cup Treats: chocolate chips, cereals, pretzels, popcorn, candies, or whatever else you think would liven up the mixture!
Directions:
- If using raw nuts, toast them in the oven at 325° Fahrenheit (165° Celsius) until they are fragrant and browned, approximately 8-10 minutes. Let them cool.
- Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix, mix, mix!
- Dish ½ cup scoops out into baggies to take with you on your next great adventure!
- Store in a tightly sealed container or mason jar.
